Thank You for Supporting Summer Reading!
Thanks to the following businesses and individuals for your support of the 2018 Summer Library Program.

Seven programs were held with an average attendance of 44 at each program. Programs this year were Milford Nature Center, Smoky Hills Television, Rock Decorating, Jack Crispen, Libraries Rock with Albi Huskey and Rocky Krueger, Slime, Rock Candy and Rock Art. The Library also sponsored children's entertainment at the June PRIDE First Fridays event and brought crafts and activities to all of the First Friday programs.

Daily kids came in to play games, use the computers, read and do activity kits.
Over 400 Rocks were painted at the Library this summer.
1779 books and 390 movies were checked out during the 10 weeks of the program
Your donations make everything possible and help keep Library programs free so all kids can participate!! Thank you for your continued support.

Discover the Science of Music - June 21st
The Library will be ROCKIN' this Thursday, June 21st from
10:30 to 11:30 as kids discover the Science of Music. Rocky Krueger and Albus
Huskey will be on guitar, Alice on flute and Nicki Hansen on
drums and percussion.
We will demonstrate how to make a xylophone out of water glasses and rubber
band guitars. Done that before? How about a xylophone made from wrenches?
Children
will have the opportunity to try out a variety of different kinds of instruments
while learning how each one makes its own unique sound.
A grand finale concert will feature castanets, shakers,
flutes and spin drums that the children can take home to entertain the whole
family!
This is a free event that all ages will enjoy!

Thanks Milford Nature Center
Vanessa Avara from Milford Nature Center presented a fun and education program about some of nature's musicians at the library on June 14th. The children loved the frogs, screech owl and especially the tiny baby bat!
Decorate Rocks at the Library
Ages 2 to 16 had fun decorating rocks at the Rock Decorating/Decoupage program on June 7th. It was a successful program with about 50 participants.
We have a rock decorating station up in the basement at the Library if anyone wants to come give rock decorating a try. Come anytime during Library hours!
