Discover the Science of Music - June 21st
The Library will be ROCKIN' this Thursday, June 21st from
10:30 to 11:30 as kids discover the Science of Music. Rocky Krueger and Albus
Huskey will be on guitar, Alice on flute and Nicki Hansen on
drums and percussion.
We will demonstrate how to make a xylophone out of water glasses and rubber
band guitars. Done that before? How about a xylophone made from wrenches?
Children
will have the opportunity to try out a variety of different kinds of instruments
while learning how each one makes its own unique sound.
A grand finale concert will feature castanets, shakers,
flutes and spin drums that the children can take home to entertain the whole
family!
This is a free event that all ages will enjoy!

Decorate Rocks at the Library
Ages 2 to 16 had fun decorating rocks at the Rock Decorating/Decoupage program on June 7th. It was a successful program with about 50 participants.
We have a rock decorating station up in the basement at the Library if anyone wants to come give rock decorating a try. Come anytime during Library hours!
