The Lincoln
Carnegie Library would like to thank everyone who helped with the farm program
at the park last Thursday. Leah Larsen with Parents as Teachers for children’s
activities and for bringing Amy Thomas from Ada and her petting zoo; Andrea
Jordan for demonstrating cow milking, bringing her pony, and making homemade
ice-cream; Amy Hauk for bringing her turkey and rabbit; Nancy Walter with
Lincoln County Conservation District for the soil tunnel and popsicles; Sandra
Wick with K-State Research and Extension for the sunflower craft and teaching about grains;
Katie Lyne with the Lincoln County Farm Bureau Association for handing out free
books; Library teen advisory board members for helping with children’s
activities and Kathy Moss for helping with food. Thanks to all the parents,
grandparents and caregivers for bringing the kids! It was a fun day.
