We are excited to announce that the window restoration project will begin March 8th. The library will hopefully be able to remain open for most of the project.
We ask that you come in the basement door by the parking lot. The front door will temporarily be out of service
The children's department has been temporarily moved to the new addition in the basement. All adult materials can be found in the new addition upstairs.
The windows are being restored by Pishny Restoration Services out of Lenexa, Kansas. They will begin by removing the windows and taking them to the factory for repair and restoration. They will restore and paint the exterior frames and sills and refinish the interior frames and sills. New storm windows will be installed. The entire project is expected to take about three months.
The window project was made possible by a Heritage Trust Fund Grant from the Kansas Historical Society. Thanks to the Friends of the Lincoln Carnegie Library for helping with the required match for the grant.
The old part of the library is completely closed.
Please use the south basement entrance by the parking lot.
Adult books and movies are in the new addition upstairs
